About our Collaborators

Alanur is an Islamic mental health nonprofit operating in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Alanur seeks to increase the wellness culture in Muslim communities based in the understanding that Islam definitionally is a comprehensive wellness program. The Muslim tradition contains within it rich resources for healing, growth and protection from harm. Our orientation to wellness is based in the recognition of four basic components of a human being: the heart, the body, the spirit, and the soul. Our methodologies for pursuing wellness fall into four general categories: knowledge, spiritual practice, companionship, and service. Alanur works within the community through three areas of services: professional development, community wellness programming, and faith-based counseling.

Green Muslims is a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 headquartered in the metropolitan Washington, DC, area working to connect Muslims everywhere to nature and environmental activism. We host educational, service, and outdoor recreational events and strive to serve as a bridge connecting the Muslim community with local climate action organizations.

Active Muslims of Cleveland is a community group that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual wellness for Muslims in Cleveland. We aim to build a supportive space where brothers and sisters stay active, connect, and grow in faith through fitness, outdoor activities, and shared experiences rooted in Islamic Values.

Islamic Society of Akron and Kent (ISAK) is a community dedicated to upholding the core tenets of Islam and serving all who enter our space—both members and visitors—regardless of background or belief. We believe in fostering a welcoming environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging, grounded in mutual respect, understanding, and compassion. We are dedicated to providing a spiritual haven, educational resources, and charitable support to empower individuals and strengthen our community.
